About Us
carmel catholic high school hockey
The Carmel Corsairs hockey program operates as part of the Carmel Catholic High School Athletic Department under the direction of the Athletic Director.
The sport is recognized by the athletic department, and players earn letters and other recognition similar to other sports. This includes recognition in the school's yearbook, announcements at school, pep rallies, etc.
Carmel Catholic High School fields three hockey teams:
- The Carmel Catholic Varsity team plays in the highly competitive SHL (Scholastic Hockey League)
- The Carmel Catholic Varsity Yellow team plays in the highly competitive AHL (Academic Hockey League).
- The Carmel Catholic JV teams play in the highly competitive SHL (Scholastic Hockey League)
We skate all year!
- Our regular season is Fall/Winter which runs from late August to mid-March when we play SHL, AHL, and SHL JV regular season and playoff games, exhibition games, three to four tournaments per team per year, and playoff games as earned.
- Our Spring Season opens the opportunity to skate with the Corsairs to incoming students (rising Freshman and above) and typically runs from late-March through May.
- Our Summer Hockey Program focuses on skills, improvement, fitness, and hockey sense with both on and off-ice sessions in July and August to prep for the coming season.
Our home ice is the Glacier Ice Arena in Vernon Hills, Illinois. And our off-ice training facility is in the world-class Carmel Catholic High School Fitness Center.
